A note from Inverlonan

Good People. These are difficult times on many levels. We here in the UK are entering the proper storm. If there is a positive, which should always be found, it comes in the guise of a dose of global humility, a slowing down, an enforced disconnect and a deeper focus on our communities, our families and indeed ourselves. Who knows? A permanent, more meaningful communality might even grow out of all this…

We at Inverlonan have been working hard to deliver something unique and true to both ourselves and our environment. Something that will last. Something we can be properly proud of. It’s been tough. Building off-grid and doing it properly is not easy and nor is it cheap!

We were due to soft launch on 30th March and open on 10th April. In the run up to that we were going to dazzle you and the world with the interiors, the food, the experience and persuade you and the world to book! That doesn’t feel right. Dazzle fine but persuade sticks in the throat a bit and right now we need to be at home in a place that we know, with our families and our communities. We can wait. So, we have decided to:

(i) Cancel the soft-launch and postpone our opening;

(ii) Continue to dazzle you with images so that you can (a) stay on the journey with us and (b) hopefully have a little moment of ‘Cool!’ or ‘Wow!’ every once in a while;

(iii) Take no bookings for the dates 10th April 2020 to at least 10th June 2020. Those already with bookings will be refunded in full or given ‘vouchers’ for future redemption;

(iv) Offer you – and our cash flow! – the chance to purchase ‘vouchers’ at our launch price of £200/night for redemption at any time up until 31st December 2021;

(v) Open our ‘online shop’ so that we can sell directly our Inverlonan beef and lamb and other sourced treasures.

Take care, look after each other and keep smiling!

Big love,

Inverlonan xxx
